I am an independent writer, researcher and filmmaker interested in migration and forced displacement, political economy, inequality, international finance, industry, grassroots activism, policing and militarization and European and North and West African politics and society. I publish in English and Danish and conduct interviews and research in Arabic and French as well. I also do talks and film screenings.

After growing up in Denmark, I've lived and worked in several countries, and in particular spent long periods of time in Tunisia. I am currently based in Denmark.

I hold an MA in Arab Studies from Georgetown University and a BA in Arab Crossroads Studies from New York University Abu Dhabi.

In my spare time, I enjoy weightlifting, cycling, playing my trumpet and making craft cocktails.
